I studied MS-office before and now after two years i am doing DTP because i want a job. My teachers are very patient with me and i am slowly picking up the skills I need.

The Deaf Way is composed of a group of committed young people working for the betterment of the deaf in India for the past 12 years. Started by Arun and Christina Rao, parents of a deaf girl.

President
Solomon Roque
A committed social worker, for the past 24 years, Mr Roque is the founding President of The Deaf Way Foundation and with long time deaf associates conceived the foundation. It was innovative and far ahead of its time in philosophy of the deaf by the deaf and for the deaf.

Secretary
Anuj Jain
An enterprising and very committed deaf teacher, Anuj comes from a family with 3 deaf siblings. Working with the deaf people of India is his passion and after 18 years he is still going strong.

Treasurer
Sanjay Taneja
A very close long time friend of Anuj Jain and A.S. Narayanan and G.V.Reddy, Sanjay himself deaf, also has a deaf brother. A professional photographer by training, Sanjay took the place of his late father in the electricity dept and is fully committed to The Deaf Way after hours.

A.S. Narayanan
Mr. A. S. Narayanan has the honour of being the founder Secretary of the National Association of the Deaf. A long time friend and associate of the other members he is also a star athlete and in his prime has represented India numerous times in football and cricket in the International deaf arena.

G.V.Reddy
Mr. G.V. Reddy is one of 4 deaf siblings and has the honour of being the Secretary of the Haryana Sports Council of the Deaf. A long time International athlete he is now coaching the Indian Volley ball team of the deaf. An active worker he is well known across India for his good nature and long time service to the deaf.

Executive Director
Arun C. Rao
For the past 18 years, Mr. Arun C. Rao has been closely involved with the deaf community; he himself father to a deaf child. In 1996 he launched The Deaf Way a monthly publication for the Indian deaf community. In 1997, he was on the working group of research on Indian Sign language culminating in creation of a comprehensive dictionary of ISL.

Among his many other accomplishments, Mr. Rao currently assumes management of five centres across the country which include staff, management, and faculty those are completely deaf.
